Guest: Tori Hope Petersen
When Tori Hope Petersen was a pre-teen, her mom was diagnosed with bipolar schizophrenia. Sadly, that trauma, combined with physical abuse, forced Tori into the foster care system. The ensuing years saw her bouncing around 12 temporary homes. On today's edition of Family Talk, Dr. Tim Clinton and Tori continue discussing her book, Fostered, and her experiences in the system. She shares how her high school track coach became a source of encouragement for her and ultimately adopted her in her late teens. With over 400,000 children in the system, Tori urges listeners to think about providing a loving home to foster kids in desperate need of stability.
