Guest: Leslie Vernick
1 Corinthians 13 says, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth." Although relationships can be full of love, they can also be difficult and sometimes become unhealthy and emotionally destructive. On today's edition of Family Talk, Dr. Tim Clinton interviews Leslie Vernick, a licensed social worker and biblical counselor, to discuss the difficult topic of abusive marriages. According to Leslie, the Church needs to do a better job of not prioritizing the sanctity of marriage above the safety and the sanity of individuals in a marriage if abuse is present.
