In this week's episode of Defending Faith, Family and Freedom with Gary Bauer, Senior Vice President of Public Policy at the James Dobson Family Institute, Bauer walks through President Biden's often bizarre and mostly disturbing announcement that he is running in 2024. First, the President inexplicably refers to abortion as "healthcare." Bauer calls this an intentional prevarication, as "pregnancy is not a disease!" Following this ridiculous claim, Biden pivots to promoting "freedom." But rather than recognizing the freedoms most Americans hold dear, such as the freedom of speech, freedom of the press, or freedom of assembly, he tells the nation that conservatives want to ban books! Bauer says that this, of course, isn't true. Parents simply want to protect their children from highly sexualized materials, illustrations, and in-person demonstrations, intended to indoctrinate elementary school-aged kids, without their consent. If that wasn't bad enough, the President follows up by saying a large sector of citizens are telling folks "who they can love." This, too, is bogus. Society doesn't allow children to drive cars. It forbids adolescents from smoking. And you must be an adult to legally drink alcohol. So, saying "no" to overt sexual indoctrination of children too young to consent, is entirely reasonable.
